Before I get into technical mumbo-jumbo, the kids are so cute. The downward perspective cuts out a lot of people out of the back ground which helps focus on the kids in the front. I also like how the background is mostly gray, because it makes the intensity of the black and white more intense on the two kids clothing, especially the girl's. Actually the girl in front just has a lot greater value contrast. Once again, drawing more focus to the kids= very good. Love the expressions too. I love how the shadows around the girls eyes are very dark without creating a raccoon effect.
